Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire others to push their style limits. Everyone should be empowered by style and how an outfit can be used as a mode of personal expression.

“Style is very personal. It has nothing to do with fashion. Fashion is over quickly. Style is forever.” - Ralph Lauren

About the 5x5 Challenge

Our fashion project strives to show the versatility behind one article of clothing, and how you can wear it for 5 consecutive days styled 5 different ways.

We launched Five Days x Five Ways in January of 2013. Self-identified marketing junkies by day, style junkies by night, fate brought us together while working on a fashion account at a Boston advertising agency. Inspired by all the amazing style and fashion blogs, we quickly realized we had a shared vision to try to do something that we hadn’t seen others do. The challenge was realized after Cass purchased a J.Crew plaid shirt, and it was love at first sight. After what started as a dare (she wore it 5 days in a row) an idea was born!  We quickly learned that you truly can take one article of clothing and transform it into 5 distinct looks.

And we’re more than just a “How To” curator of styling tips.  Each week, we take the 5x5 challenge head-on by actually wearing the featured items all day, for 5 straight days.  We won’t lie…it gets tough—but that’s what truly makes it so much fun.  And don’t worry.  We do laundry :)

About the 5x5 Girls

Cass is in her mid-thirties with 2 beautiful daughters.  She's our resident "Momma Bear" of the group. With her hilarious commentary and quirky style confidence, the only thing you can predict is the unpredictable: she’s always dressing up in some decade, trend, or persona.

Jess, 29, is definitely the classic all-American gone rogue, because without fail she finds a way to make an oxford funky and never (ever) shies away from color.

And then there’s Erin, 24, who’s living easy as a youngin' in the city. She has the confidence and eye to give anything a whirl, so Erin is always throwing a risky trend into the mix.
